Privacy Policy

1. Who We Are and What This Policy Covers
This Privacy Policy explains how slotraveaustralia.com (the “Website”, “we”, “us”) collects, holds, uses and discloses personal information. We handle personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) in Schedule 1 of that Act, and this Policy is our APP privacy policy.
The Website is an independent review and affiliate publication about the Slotrave gaming platform, written for Australian readers. We are not a gambling operator: we do not open player accounts, hold funds, take deposits or bets, process payments or verify players’ identities. Those activities are carried out only by the operator of the Slotrave platform, a separate business based outside Australia, which handles any information you give it under its own privacy policy. If you have a question about this Policy, email support@slotrave.com.
2. The Personal Information We Collect
We only collect personal information that is reasonably necessary for running the Website (APP 3), and we collect it lawfully and fairly, directly from you or your device. This is limited to:
- Technical and usage information: IP address, browser type and version, operating system, device type, language settings, screen size, the page that referred you, the pages you view and the date and time of your visit.
- Information stored through cookies and similar technologies such as localStorage, as described on our Cookie Info page.
- Information you choose to send us by email — your email address, your name if you include it, and what you write to us.
We do not collect sensitive information (such as health information), financial details or identity documents, and you never need to create an account on the Website. You can browse anonymously or under a pseudonym (APP 2) — we only need an email address if you want a reply.
3. Why We Use It
We use and disclose personal information only for the purposes we collected it for, or for related purposes you would reasonably expect (APP 6):
- running, securing and improving the Website, including detecting and preventing abusive or fraudulent traffic;
- replying to messages and enquiries you send us;
- producing aggregated, non-identifying statistics about how the Website is used, only if you accept the relevant cookies;
- complying with our obligations under Australian law.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not send marketing emails. If that ever changes, we will only send direct marketing in line with APP 7 and the Spam Act 2003 (Cth), with a simple way to opt out.
4. Cookies
The Website uses a small number of cookies and localStorage entries. Where information collected this way could reasonably identify you — for example, an IP address linked to your browsing — we treat it as personal information under this Policy and the Privacy Act. Our Cookie Info page lists exactly what we set, why and for how long, and how to accept, reject or delete cookies.
5. Who We Share It With — Including Overseas
We do not sell personal information or share it with others for their own marketing. We may share limited technical information with service providers who host, maintain or analyse the Website for us, and only for those purposes. We may also disclose information to a government agency or court where the law requires or authorises it.
Some of our service providers store data on servers outside Australia, including in the United States and the European Union. Before disclosing personal information overseas, we take reasonable steps under APP 8 to make sure the recipient handles it in a way consistent with the APPs, for example through contractual privacy obligations. You can ask us for more detail using the contact details below.
6. How Long We Keep It
We keep personal information only for as long as we need it for the purposes above or as the law requires. As a guide: technical and usage information is kept for up to 12 months; emails are kept for as long as needed to deal with your enquiry and a reasonable time afterwards; cookie and localStorage data is kept for the periods listed on our Cookie Info page. When we no longer need it, we destroy or de-identify the information (APP 11.2).
7. Keeping It Secure — and Data Breaches
We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss and unauthorised access, change or disclosure (APP 11), including encrypted TLS connections to the Website, restricted access to the emails we keep, collecting as little information as possible and using reputable hosting.
If a data breach is likely to result in serious harm to anyone whose information is involved, we will assess it promptly and, where the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme in Part IIIC of the Privacy Act applies, notify the affected individuals and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner, together with recommended steps people can take.
8. Accessing and Correcting Your Information
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you (APP 12) and ask us to correct it if it is inaccurate, out of date, incomplete, irrelevant or misleading (APP 13). Email support@slotrave.com with enough detail for us to find the information and confirm the request is yours. We will respond within 30 days and will not charge you for making a request. If we refuse a request, we will tell you why in writing.
9. Complaints — the OAIC
If you think we have mishandled your personal information, please email support@slotrave.com first and we will try to resolve it within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) — oaic.gov.au, phone 1300 363 992.
10. Under 18s
The Website, and the gambling services it describes, are for adults aged 18 or over only. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we find out that a minor has sent us personal information, we will delete it promptly. Parents or carers who think a child has contacted us can email support@slotrave.com and we will act straight away.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time — for example, to reflect changes to the Privacy Act, guidance from the OAIC or changes to the Website. The current version is always on this page, with the date of the latest update shown above.
12. Contact
Questions, access or correction requests and privacy concerns can be sent to support@slotrave.com. See also our Site Terms and Cookie Info for more about how the Website works.
