1. What Cookies Are
Cookies are small text files a website saves in your browser when you visit. They help a site remember your choices, keep it working properly and measure how it is used. slotraveaustralia.com (the “Website”) also uses your browser’s local storage (localStorage), which saves small pieces of information on your device in a similar way but does not send them to our server with every request. On this page, we call cookies and localStorage entries “cookies”.
2. Cookies and Australian Privacy Law
Australia does not have a separate cookie law. Instead, where information collected through cookies is, or could reasonably become, personal information — for example, an IP address linked to your browsing — it is protected by the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles, as explained in our Privacy Policy. In line with guidance from the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner, we tell you openly what we collect and why, we keep collection to a minimum, and we only use non-essential cookies if you accept them through the cookie banner on the Website.
3. The Cookies We Use
The Website deliberately uses very few cookies:

We do not use advertising, profiling or cross-site tracking cookies. If we add new cookies, we will update this page and the cookie banner first, and ask for your consent to anything that is not essential.
4. The Cookie Banner
The first time you visit, a banner gives you a simple choice: Accept or Reject, shown with equal prominence. Essential cookies work either way, because the Website cannot run properly without them, and they are not used for marketing. Everything else only runs if you choose Accept. Your choice is saved in the cookie_consent entry for 12 months, after which the banner asks again. To change your mind sooner, clear the Website’s data in your browser (see section 5) and the banner will reappear on your next visit.
5. Managing Cookies in Your Browser
You can view, block or delete cookies (including localStorage) in your browser settings:
- Google Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Third-party cookies / Site settings → Cookies and site data.
- Mozilla Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data.
- Safari: Settings → Privacy → Manage Website Data.
- Microsoft Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions → Manage and delete cookies and site data.
Your browser’s help pages have step-by-step instructions. Blocking every cookie can stop parts of the Website from working — for example, it will not be able to remember that you have already answered the cookie banner.
6. Third Parties
Information saved by our own cookies is not shared with anyone else. When files such as scripts or style sheets are delivered through a third-party content delivery network (CDN), that provider may process your IP address to deliver the file; this is covered by the provider’s own privacy policy, and any overseas disclosure we are responsible for is handled as described in our Privacy Policy.

If you have a concern about how we use cookies, email support@slotrave.com first and we will try to fix it. If you are not happy with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au or on 1300 363 992.
